The Quality Risk Manager (QRM) - Commercial is responsible for risk management, quality governance, and compliance oversight for High‑Value and At‑Risk projects. The role provides independent risk guidance and quality assurance throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid and proposal stage through execution, delivery, and project closure.
The QRM acts as a key partner to project teams, sales team and leadership to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, mitigated, and continuously monitored, enabling successful project outcomes and protecting the organization from commercial, contractual, technical, and delivery risks.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Risk Management & GovernanceProvide end‑to‑end risk management oversight for selected High‑Value and At‑Risk projects.Support proposal and bid teams during pre‑award phase to identify key risks and ensure alignment of scope, assumptions, and mitigation strategies.Ensure project risk registers, mitigation plans, and quality controls are properly established, maintained, and updated throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with internal project governance, quality standards, and risk management frameworks.
Quality Reviews & Project Health AssessmentConduct structured quality and risk reviews at key project milestones.Support project teams in assessing overall project health, including schedule, cost, scope, delivery risk, and compliance status.Lead or facilitate Focused SI Project Review Meetings, providing independent assessment and recommendations.Escalate critical risks and governance gaps to relevant stakeholders as required.
Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Technical Subject Matter Experts to ensure risk considerations are fully integrated into decision‑making.Provide advisory support to project teams on contractual, commercial, operational, and technical risks.Serve as a central coordination point to ensure risk ownership and accountability are clearly defined.
Risk Mitigation & Continuous ImprovementRecommend and monitor risk mitigation actions to ensure risks are effectively controlled and reduced over time.Track outstanding risks and verify that mitigation actions are implemented and closed.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring risk themes, lessons learned, and systemic gaps across projects.Contribute to the enhancement of project risk management processes, tools, and standards.
Data Management & Digital EnablementMaintain centralized and accurate project risk data, ensuring transparency and traceability.Apply structured and data‑driven approaches to analyze risk exposure and trends.Leverage digital tools, dashboards, and analytics to support risk tracking, reporting, and decision‑making.Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project risk status to management and governance forums.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.Professional certifications in Project Management, Risk Management, or Quality (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Risk‑related certifications) are an advantage.
ExperienceMinimum 8–12 years of experience in project delivery, project governance, risk management, or quality management.Experience supporting large, complex, or high‑value projects, preferably in system integration, data center, ICT, infrastructure, or industrial environments.Proven exposure to cross‑functional and multi‑stakeholder project environments.
