Overview of the positionThis role reports directly to Head of Sales, APAC. As Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the company’s footprint in the Asia market. You will be responsible for developing new accounts through direct sales and partnership with distributors, promoting the company’s product portfolio, and gathering market intelligence to stay ahead of the competition. You will drive growth and meet sales revenue targets and handle all customer inquiries, including product information, training, pricing and quality matters. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and a growth mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide new sales opportunities, Global Key Accounts, Regional Key Accounts and SMEs across SEA region will be primary objective of this position and will involve working closely with cross functional teamsWork closely with Distributors, B2B customers will also be part of a daily routineResponsible for salesforce.com processes such as projects and closing orders; engagement to support opportunities trackingResponsible for forecasting and sales tracking, and to achieve the volume, and profitability targetsConduct product demonstrations, and, organize workshops and seminars regionallyAssist and collaborate with regional marketing team in the development of sales support materials and marketing campaignsDrives brand awareness of products, conduct training and seminars for clients, distributors and sales teamWork with Head of Sales to develop overall sales strategy and direction, and sales targetsCross-sell and upsell the product portfolioAnalyse data on past performance and project future growth and sales targetGather market, customer, competitive information and intelligence for strategy and pricingManage contracts and risksCollaborate with various company departments to achieve customers' service expectationDevelop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the supply chain, including knowledge of import regulations, licences and documentation specific to the local market
Qualification & other requirementsDegree in Food Science or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of sales experience in the food ingredients industryStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and able to work independently are key success factorsSelf-starter and able to work well under pressureWilling to travel regionally
