Document Controller (1–2 Year Contract – Client Assignment)Reporting to the Manager of the Project and Management Control Department, the incumbent will support the preparation and management of project engineering drawings and documentation, ensuring proper transmission, registration, and filing in accordance with established policies and procedures.Note: This position will be deployed to support one of Omega 365’s clients and is offered on a 1–2 year contract basis depending on project requirements.
ResponsibilitiesProvide Document Controller services to the client in accordance with project contract requirementsManage document and drawing standards, templates, and control processes for the projectEnsure completeness of incoming and outgoing documents/drawings based on transmittals received and issuedMaintain and update project documentation throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with company proceduresRegister incoming and outgoing documents/drawings in Pims DC or Omega 365 Document ManagementEnsure proper distribution of documents/drawings to relevant stakeholders based on the agreed Document Distribution Matrix (DDM)Monitor and enforce compliance with LCI requirements and proceduresIdentify and resolve document control related issuesProduce reports and statistics on document status and work progressCompile, organise, and maintain accurate records in Omega 365 Document ManagementProvide administrative and coordination support to project team members when required
RequirementsA/O Level, Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or DegreeMinimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Document Controller in the oil & gas or related industryExperience with Pims DC, Omega 365 Document Management, or similar EDMS systemsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Good written and spoken EnglishPositive working attitude and strong sense of responsibilityAble to work both independently and as part of a teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Chinese (spoken and/or written) will be an advantageWilling to work a 6-day work week (Saturday may be a flexible half-day depending on project workload)Willing to commit overtime when required based on project needs
