About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all critical systems and infrastructure components are properly tested, validated, and operationally ready prior to handover and also ensure all construction activities meet or exceed quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain robust QAQC programs for data centre construction projects throughout the APAC region.Create and update quality management plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols specific to data centre construction.Support quality assurance reviews during design phases to identify potential issues before construction begins.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes.Coordinate with project teams to establish quality checkpoints and verification processes at critical construction milestones.Identify non-conformances and deficiencies, and work with construction teams to implement effective corrective actions.Develop and maintain quality documentation systems, including test results, inspection reports, and compliance certificates.Provide regular quality performance reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.Train project personnel on quality requirements and best practices.Drive continuous improvement of quality processes based on lessons learned and industry developments.Assist in the development and implementation of the global Quality program to meet the APAC regional requirements while maintaining consistent quality and compliance across data centre projects.Assist in the development and implementation of the global commissioning program to meet the APAC regional requirements while maintaining consistent quality and compliance across data centre projects.Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning strategies and methodologies aligned with industry best practices and company standards.Support the commissioning program across multiple data centre projects within the APAC region, coordinating activities between construction teams, vendors, and operations personnel.Experience evaluating and selecting qualified general contractors, specialty trades, and technical vendors across APAC markets, with demonstrated ability to assess technical capabilities, quality standards, and regional performance track records to support successful commissioning outcomes.Create and manage detailed commissioning schedules, ensuring integration with the overall project timeline.Oversee testing and validation of critical systems including power distribution, cooling, fire protection, security, and IT infrastructure.Review and approve commissioning plans, test scripts, and completion documentation.Identify and mitigate risks to successful commissioning completion and facility handover.Manage commissioning resources, including internal teams and third-party vendors.Establish quality control processes to verify all systems meet basis of design and operational requirements.Facilitate knowledge transfer between project and operations teams.Report commissioning progress, issues, and resolutions to senior leadership.Drive continuous improvement of commissioning practices and procedures.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in commissioning and/or construction quality management of data centres or similar mission-critical facilities.Demonstrated experience implementing quality management systems across multiple projects and locations within the APAC region.Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials testing, and quality control procedures.Strong knowledge of international and regional quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.) and building codes relevant to data centres.Proven ability to evaluate and select qualified contractors, specialty trades, and technical vendors based on quality performance criteria.Excellent analytical skills with ability to identify quality issues and recommend practical solutions.Strong communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to adapt and implement global quality standards and methodologies to meet unique APAC regional requirements while maintaining consistent quality and compliance across international data centre operations.Proven track record managing commissioning programs for large-scale data centre projects in the APAC region.Deep understanding of data centre systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, and BMS.Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, TIA, etc.).Experience with commissioning tools, methodologies, and documentation systems.Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.Effective communication skills with ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to travel extensively throughout the APAC region (approximately 25%).

The HR Services Lead for APAC & India plays a key role in supporting the delivery of HR services across the region by providing local and regional oversight of day to day operations. Through dotted line leadership, this role provides direction and guidance to HR Services team members to ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with global standards while meeting regional and local requirements.
