An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Director, Corporate Strategy to join the group strategy function. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive enterprise-wide strategic planning, portfolio analytics, performance management, and key corporate initiatives. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping long-term growth priorities, evaluating investment and business opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & PlanningSupport the annual strategic planning cycle, including business reviews, market assessments, and long-range planning initiativesPartner with business units to evaluate strategic priorities, growth opportunities, and resource allocation decisionsDevelop strategic frameworks and recommendations for senior management reviewMonitor macroeconomic, sector, and competitive trends relevant to the businessPerformance Management & AnalyticsAnalyse business and portfolio performance across operating platforms and asset classesDevelop dashboards, KPI tracking tools, and management reports to support decision-makingConsolidate and interpret financial, operational, and market data to identify risks and opportunitiesPresent actionable insights to leadership teams in a clear and concise mannerCorporate Projects & Strategic InitiativesLead or support cross-functional projects including transformation initiatives, operating model reviews, and growth programsConduct business case analysis, scenario modelling, and strategic impact assessmentsCoordinate stakeholders across finance, investment, operations, and business units to drive executionTrack implementation milestones and strategic outcomesInvestment / Portfolio SupportAssist in evaluating capital deployment priorities, portfolio optimisation, and strategic transactionsSupport hold-sell analysis, market entry reviews, and strategic investment assessmentsProvide analytical support for board and management presentationsStakeholder ManagementEngage regularly with senior internal stakeholders across multiple geographies and business linesPrepare executive-level presentation materials and strategic discussion papersFacilitate planning discussions and alignment across functionsKey RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related disciplineAt least 6 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate planning, investment analysis, finance, or similar functionsPrior exposure to real estate, infrastructure, asset management, or capital-intensive industries is advantageousStrong analytical and financial modelling capabilitiesAbility to synthesise large volumes of information into clear recommendationsExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsExperience engaging senior management and cross-border stakeholders preferred
