    About the Role:I Can Read Teacher Requirements:Degree-level qualifications, preferably in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood/Studies/English/English Literature or LinguisticsDiploma-level qualifications must be in a relevant field such as Teaching/Education/Early Childhood Studies/English Language/English Literature or LinguisticsEnglish speaker with a universally recognisable accent and a strong command of the English LanguagePreferably at least two years of related teaching experience, or similarAn enthusiasm for teaching young childrenStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work well with co-teachers, and Learning Centre ManagementThe ability to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalismWilling to teach on weekends and weekday evenings
    Responsibilities:Working with children between the ages of 2.5 to 12 years oldWorking hours for this role are from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekends, following a 5-day work week schedule.Teaching pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read systemTeaching reading and comprehension skills using the I Can Read systemLesson preparation and marking, including the preparation of appropriate teaching resources and participating in teacher and curriculum meetings on a weekly basisMaintaining regular open communication with parents, through informal, formal and scheduled parent-teacher meetings providing regular updates to parents on students’ performance and progressionConducting ad hoc replacement lessons and one-to-one lessonsTeaching I Can Read affiliated programmesHelping children develop social skills and positive classroom behaviourCreating a conducive learning environment for students, safeguarding their wellbeing at all timesWorking alongside the assessment team to ensure smooth running of open house eventsAny other ad-hoc duties
    Working Schedule: Wednesday to SundayWeekday: 1pm to 9pm Weekend: 9am to 6.30pm

  • Assistant Centre Manager  

    - Singapore

    Responsibilities:Conduct administrative and operational tasks at the centreWork towards attaining student sign-up targets and maximise monthly retentionLiaise with customers and respond promptly to queriesResolve any customer grievances in a courteous and professional mannerAssist with customer payments and maintain accurate files for auditingAssist with performance reviews and student promotionsUpdate HQ promptly about student enrolment, trial lessons, and student withdrawalHandle petty cash at centreSafeguarding student welfare and safetyEnsure the centre is well-maintained with a high standard of cleanlinessEnsure all classrooms are well stocked with required materials and stationeryAssist with any other ad hoc projects
    Experience and Qualifications:Diploma-level qualification or higherMinimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in Education, Retail, Airlines, or any other customer-centric industriesGood command of English – both spoken and writtenKind and nurturing when interacting with childrenProfessional and courteous when communicating with parents/guardiansExcellent organisation skillsProficient with MS Office and ExcelWilling to work both weekends and three weekdays (Weekday 1pm to 9pm and Weekend 9am to 6.30pm)Experienced candidates will be considered for the Centre Manager position.
