Key Responsibilities:Supervise, coordinate, lead laser technicians and be a role model on the production floor.Oversee laser operations including subassembly, alignment and testing.Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet customer orders, deadlines, and quality requirements.Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and ISO standards.Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency and reduced downtime.Train and develop team members in laser build/repairs and maintaining quality standards.Inspect materials and finished products for adherence to specifications.Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams on product development and process optimization.Maintain production records, reporting metrics such as quality, scrap rates, downtime, and output.Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department.Manage inventory of indirect materials, consumables, and finished goods related to laser operations.Address personnel issues including timekeeping, performance reviews, and discipline where necessary.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building, setting up, testing, and preparing large high-tech machines before they are shipped to customers. This is a hands-on role where you follow step-by-step instructions and work with tools to ensure the equipment is safe, accurate, and high quality.

Key responsibilities: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on optical components, mechanical fabricated parts, and cables.Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) for optics and related assemblies.Follow established sampling plans, inspection procedures and quality standards.Maintain accurate and complete inspection records, logs and reports.Assist engineers in the investigation of failures and defects in parts and components.Identify quality issues and recommend improvements to enhance inspection effectiveness.Support First Pass Yield improvement initiatives and assist in identifying root causes for manufacturing low Yield / quality issues.Apply continuous improvement concepts and techniques in daily work activities.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor based on business needs.
