    Duties and Job ResponsibilitiesManage and lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting functionsResponsible for timely submission of full set of monthly financial, management and statutory reports including GST return, cash flow statements and bank reconciliationEnsure compliance of corporate policies, internal controls, financial accounting standards, Charities Act, tax and legislative requirementDirect and coordinate the annual budget exercise and assist in external and internal auditsImplement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to support the organisation in improving the efficiency of its operationsWork closely with internal and external stakeholders such as the Board, Finance and Audit & Risk Committee on finance related mattersReview Finance manual which includes procurement policy and propose improvement on procedures and processesResponsible for the supervision and development of Accounts ExecutivesAttend quarterly Board meetingsAny other tasks and assignments as assigned
    Qualification and Job RequirementsDegree in Finance or AccountancyAt least 7 years’ relevant experience of similar capacity within a mid-sized organisation of at least 200 headcounts, preferably within the social service sectorProficiency in MYOB or ERP accounting softwareGood team player and positive working attitudeExperience with implementation of ERP system would be an added advantageCharities accounting would be an added advantageMeticulous and organised and details orientedStrong leadership in managing staff related issueExperience with grant administration and Charities accounting would be an added advantage

  • Assistant Manager, Literacy

    The Assistant Manager helps to support the effective day-to-day operations of the Centre. These might include staff supervision, administrative tasks, and other operational tasks.
    Job Responsibilities
    Staff Supervision:Update the manager on clients’ progress and developmentSupervise staff in their collaboration with Psychological Services and schools’ SEN-O on case managementOversee Kids Club programmesMentor newer teachersAny other assigned duties and responsibilities
    Centre Operations & Administration:Assist the Manager in the day-to-day running of the CentreManage class schedulesAssist in enrolment and placement processAssist in planning, implementing and evaluating programmes and activitiesAssist in reporting to Senior Management/ FundersHandle students’ administrative matters

  • Epworth HomeSweetHome was started in 2013 in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) as the first Therapeutic Group Home in Singapore. The Home provides stay-in treatment for children between the ages of 7 to 12 years old who have experienced abuse. We use the Trauma System Therapy (TST) treatment model to help children with complex trauma and aggressive behaviour.
    We believe that with early and appropriate intervention, children can recover and become well-adjusted persons with a healthy mental well-being. Apart from treatment within the Home, we also work with other helping professionals so that all the needs of these children could be met. Together with MSF, we work towards safe placements for these children, when they are ready to be discharged from the Home and well enough to return to the community.

    Job Description:
    Responsible for providing high quality and effective therapeutic case work services for clients Ensure that the emotional, social, behavioural, developmental, therapeutic and educational needs of clients are met
    Effective use of treatment models and tools, such as, Trauma System Therapy (TST), Positive Behavioural Interventions and Support (PBIS), Structured Decision Making Partnering for Safety (SDM PFS), Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS)
    Provide linkage to community resources for clients and their families
    Work with MSF Child Protection Officer and external agencies/stakeholders
    Provide regular updates and reports to the interdisciplinary team
    Provide coaching and training to direct care staff and caregivers/parents
    Play an active part in the evaluation of TGH therapeutic models and programmes Plan, implement and evaluate group work and programmes that will complement the therapeutic goals
    Any other adhoc duties as assigned

    Requirements:
    Minimum degree/graduate diploma in Social Work with at least 3 years of related work experience. Candidates with 5 years of work experience, including 2 years of supervising junior social workers is preferred
    Good knowledge in working with children and youth, and competency to perform roles of higher responsibilities
    Ability to manage issues of complex multi-problems children and families
    Good understanding of trauma, attachment and resilience theory, and child and adolescent development
    Keen interest to acquire knowledge and skills, and effective use in models and tools
    Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers or qualify to be accredited as an RSW
    Good communication and interpersonal skills
    Good team player with good collaboration skills
    Good report writing skills

    Location of workplace: Sembawang5 days work week (no shift work required)Nature of job requires working with primary school boysAttractive annual remuneration comprising of fixed and variable bonuses
