  • Robotics Engineer (Mechanics)

    We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in mechanical design using CAD tools such as PTC Creo, EFEM modules and a background in the semiconductor industry. The role is primarily focused on mechanical engineering and equipment design, with experience working in cleanroom environments. Some exposure to robotic arm pick-and-place systems and wafer handling equipment will be an added advantage, as the role may involve supporting automation components within semiconductor tools.
    Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer with hands-on experience in wafer handling robots, robot teaching/programming, end-effector design, and mechanical system integration. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, and optimizingrobotic systems used in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
    Roles & Responsibilities• Develop, program, and optimize wafer handling robotic systems for semiconductor tools.• Perform robot teaching, path optimization, calibration, and motion tuning for highprecision wafer transfer.• Design and validate custom end effectors suitable for various wafer sizes• Integrate robotic systems with process chambers, load ports, aligners, and EFEM modules.• Ensure mechanical alignment, repeatability, and contamination control compliance.• Work closely with electrical, controls, and software teams for full system integration.• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation.• Support installation, commissioning, and customer site acceptance testing (SAT).• Prepare technical documentation including design specifications and integration reports.• Analyze and optimize existing motion control systems to improve performance, accuracy, and reliability.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate motion control solutions into semiconductor manufacturing processes.• Perform calculations and analysis to ensure system performance and reliability.• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
    Requirements (Must Have)• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing motion control systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.• Experience in semiconductor automation or wafer handling systems.• Understanding of SEMI standards and cleanroom requirements.
    Strong knowledge of:• Robot teaching and motion control• Precision mechanical design• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (Creo).• Experience in mechanical tolerance stack-up and alignment methodologies.• Experience working with robotic systems from semiconductor OEMs.• Familiarity with FMEA, DFMEA, and reliability testing.• Strong problem-solving skills, Attention to precision and detail, Cross-functionalcollaboration• Ability to work in fast-paced NPI environments• Customer-facing communication capability• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

    Scope of Work• Execute testing of SSD on server platforms to validate functionality.• Perform debug and analysis of failures towards resolution of failures observed.• Participate in setting up of test environment and servers in preparation for validation.• Tabulate test results and generate report for continuous firmware health monitoring.
    Qualifications and Skills• Degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.• Basic working knowledge with Windows and/or Linux.• Experience in the setup and/or debug of laptop/desktop/server systems would be an advantage.• Knowledge in Python scripting and/or experience with basic signal/power measurement equipment is preferred.• Experience in using PCIe/NVMe bus analyzers and Analog/Mixed Signal oscilloscopes would be beneficial.• Comfortable working in an ESD-protected lab environment.
