  • Reporting to the Group Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group’s legal, compliance, risk management and corporate secretarial functions, focusing on governance execution, structured risk management and disciplined follow-through to maintain overall governance and control.
    Job Responsibilities
    Governance Implementation & Control Support the implementation of the Group’s governance framework across legal, compliance and risk areasEnsure clarity of roles, responsibilities and escalation mechanismsMaintain discipline in decision-making processes and documentationEnsure consistency in how risk and legal matters are handled across the organisation
    Legal & Risk Oversight Oversee all legal matters including complaints, disputes, claims and litigationEnsure timely escalation and structured handling of high-risk mattersProvide practical and balanced recommendations to managementCoordinate and manage external counsel where required
    Compliance & Risk Management Support implementation of compliance and risk management frameworksIdentify key risk areas and ensure proper monitoring and controlOversee internal investigations and conflict of interest mattersEnsure issues are properly tracked and resolved
    Corporate Secretarial & Board Support Manage corporate secretarial functions and ensure compliance with statutory requirementsSupport preparation and coordination of Board and management meetingsEnsure proper documentation and governance record-keeping
    Legal Operations & Team Management Lead and manage the legal, compliance and risk teamEstablish structured processes for intake, prioritisation and tracking of mattersImprove responsiveness and coordination across the functionEnsure visibility of key risks to management
    Stakeholder Coordination Act as a coordination point between business units, management and external partiesSupport communication and alignment on legal and risk mattersAssist in handling sensitive or high-risk situations
    Development & Expansion Support the ongoing development and coordination of legal, compliance and risk capabilities across the Group, contributing to a more structured and centralised approach over time.Contribute to improving systems, processes and coordination across the GroupSupport future evolution of the function as part of organization growth Job Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in law or any related disciplines.Comes with minimum 15 years of relevant experience with proven leadership expertiseKnowledge in cross border environments such as China required to support organization's Internationalization approachProficient in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholdersStrong sense of responsibility and accountability with a solutions oriented mindsetMature, resilient, and capable of managing challenging situations
