    We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Design & Innovation Manager to join our growing team.

    About the Role
    As the Design & Innovation Manager, you will assist in leading the design vision and execution across a diverse portfolio—including hotels, serviced residences, PBSA, wellness clubs, F&B concepts, senior living, and community-oriented developments.

    This is a hybrid role spanning creative design, consultant management, project delivery, site execution, and brand experience. You will play a key role in shaping new living models and driving the next generation of hospitality and wellness environments.

    What You’ll Do
    Design Leadership
    • Lead concept development for living, hospitality, and wellness projects
    • Translate brand vision into spatial identities, guest journeys, and placemaking strategies
    • Create concept decks, material palettes, signage & wayfinding strategies, and experience guidelines
    Consultant & Project Management
    • Manage architects, interior designers, landscape designers, MEP, QS, lighting, and creative partners
    • Review drawings, details, mock-ups, and tender submissions
    • Ensure design intent, quality, and brand consistency across all touchpoints

    Brand & Experience Integration
    • Develop design standards for The Initial Sama, The Initial Residence, and future brands
    • Shape community spaces, wellness clubs, gyms, lounges, co-working areas, and F&B concepts
    • Champion innovation and explore new typologies such as PBSA, senior living, wellness residences, and hybrid-use developments

    Who You Are
    • 5+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, hospitality design, or mixed-use environments
    • Strong design sensibility with the ability to balance creativity and execution
    • Confident in consultant coordination, drawing reviews, and site management
    • Comfortable presenting to founders, investors, and partners
    • Able to work across multiple fast-moving projects
    • Passionate about creating spaces that integrate wellness, community, and elevated living

  • Design Manager  

    - Singapore

    About the Role
    Oversees the architectural elements of a project, including its design and feasibility.
    Responsibilities

    Lead/Chair meetings and work closely with consultants on the requirements of projects.Develop project plans and budgets for projects including architectural drawings, specifications, estimates, cost reports, schedule, material documents, and specification lists.Visiting the site regularly to ensure construction adheres to state regulations.Ensuring the project remains on time and within specifications.Creating progress reports, time schedules, and revised budgets.Coordinate with Project Manager on daily updates and weekly reports on the work progress and issues on site, including necessary checklist and documentations.Coordinate, preparation of tender, evaluation, recommendation, and award processes.Maintain proper records of all site files on project correspondences, documents and drawings for easy retrieval and reference.Prepare and update the list of outstanding / non-compliance works for submission to the Architect / Management for discussion during site meetings on regular basis.Ensure all work is carried out to the requirements of the developer, with the design team working to the correct specifications and delivering a high quality and timely product to the client.Adaptable and problem solving, managing internal and external stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and monitor progress to ensure that the project stays on track.Suggest innovative solutions to improve sustainability, efficiency, or aesthetics.Conducting a final inspection after the project is complete.
    Qualifications

    Min master’s degree in architecture, design, or similar.3-5 Years Experience Preferred.Local Project with some overseas experience preferred.State architecture certification.Portfolio of completed projects (hospitality & commercial work experience preferred).
    Required Skills

    Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD and SketchUp.Excellent communication and reporting skills.Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs.Advanced project-management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders daily.Must be able to travel overseas for work occasionally.
    Preferred Skills

    3-5 Years Experience Preferred.Local Project with some overseas experience preferred.
