    What the role entailsThe Senior International Tax Manager will play a significant role in establishing CloudHQ’s tax strategy in Asia Pacific (APAC). The successful candidate will report to the International Tax Director based in Washington DC, US, and will work closely with cross functional teams including Investment, Development, Finance, Accounting, and Legal to manage all tax aspects in the APAC region, ranging from acquisition due diligence and structuring, to tax compliance.
    Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for international operations, focusing on optimization and risk mitigation.Provide tax due diligence support, structuring advice, and post-acquisition integration planning for cross-border transactions.Provide tax input for purchase and sale agreements, joint venture negotiations, and internal restructuring transactions.Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws and regulations.Oversee tax compliance activities, including tax return preparation, transfer pricing documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.Monitor changes in tax legislation, regulations, and industry trends to advise on potential business impacts for the fund.Build and manage strong relationships with external advisors and tax authorities to effectively navigate complex tax issues in multiple countries.Evaluate and respond to requests for tax audits.Implement technological and process enhancements to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to the Investment and Finance teams.
    RequirementsEducation: Degree in Accountancy, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent.Language skills: Fluent in English.
    Experience:8 years of relevant tax experience in Big 4 accounting firms or large real estate organizations.Extensive experience in cross-border transactions and structuring within real estate funds, infrastructure, construction, and/or data centers.Proven track record in Asia Pacific real estate tax is essential.Familiarity with US or European investors and fund managers.
    Required Knowledge and skills: Extensive experience in real estate fund structuring and M&A.Advanced knowledge of Singapore and regional tax regimes across APAC.Ability to work independently as the first Singapore tax hire.Willingness to work extended hours as needed and accommodate meetings with the management team in US and European time zones.Exceptional organization and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet critical deadlines.Effective team player with the ability to collaborate internally and externally, across different languages and international business cultures.Assertive personality, ensuring completion of processes and prioritization of tax issues.Exhibits strong attention to detail, dedicated work ethic, and high level of self-motivation.Problem-solving ability using analysis, technical expertise, and organizational skills.Sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and ahead of schedule.Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions impacting project timelines and outcomes.Responsible attitude with a commitment to leading by example in attendance, work ethic, and technical work product.Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Regional Senior Development Manager

    Role Overview:The Sr. Development Manager will be a critical member of the CloudHQ Development team overseeing projects in APAC. You will be primarily responsible for managing certain aspects of commercial real estate including technical elements of land acquisitions, due diligence, design processes, land use/zoning and providing subject matter expertise within at least one technical discipline. The role will also come with wider Project Management responsibilities and management of external partner teams.
    Key Responsibilities: Establish and lead CloudHQ’s design presence in APAC, aligning with global design standards while adapting to regional market conditions, construction practices, and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary design representative for CloudHQ in APAC, shaping regional strategy in coordination with global leadership.Support land acquisition due diligence by managing consultant selection, procurement, and execution of required services, ensuring comprehensive risk assessment and compliance with APAC-specific regulations. Advise leadership on strategic real estate decisions, including local market insights and best technical practices. Guide utilities procurement and delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective power, water, and fiber connections for CloudHQ projects, while navigating regional infrastructure challenges. Assess early-stage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize CloudHQ’s exposure during acquisitions. Assist in CloudHQ’s efforts to achieve design consistency worldwide, liaising between the CloudHQ internal design management teams, preconstruction, operations, and the local partners to ensure design consistency and efficiency is achieved. Draft and distribute RFPs for design disciplines and make award recommendations. Lead multidisciplinary design development process of construction documents including specifications across multiple projects throughout the region. Review drawings to ensure compliance with CloudHQ’s technical and quality standards, while accounting for APAC-specific construction practices and environmental conditions. Align design with constructability, maintainability, and operational strategy. Provide expertise on local code compliance, permitting strategies, and evolving regulatory frameworks across APAC markets.Build and maintain strategic partnerships with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, municipalities, customers, and other stakeholders critical to CloudHQ’s success in APAC. Create and manage early-stage due diligence budgets, contributing to overall project financial planning. Lead early-stage project scheduling, establishing reliable timelines that enable effective resource planning and execution across APAC. Oversee permitting efforts, coordinate across stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficiency. Own and manage the relationships with local stakeholders, utilities, and authorities. Engage with neighborhood groups and other local stakeholders as needed.     Education and Background:Bachelor’s degree, Real Estate Development, Finance, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or EquivalentMinimum 7 years’ experience as an architectural / engineering lead in a mission critical building design practice - Data Center experience preferred.Background in complex commercial, pharmaceutical, or high-tech development preferred if no data center experience.
    Languages: English required. Additional languages a plus.
