  • Tendering Engineer  

    - Kallang

    Key Purpose Joining a team dedicated to achieving project success, your role involves preparing commercial and technical proposals for High/Medium/Low Voltage switchgear/containerized solutions and EPC in key segments. Collaborating with sales and marketing professionals locally, in various APAC countries, and at the corporate headquarters, you'll have the chance to contribute and enhance your skills and knowledge in technical solutions, tender preparation and strategy, project planning, and negotiations. This full-time position is based at Singapore office, offering an excellent opportunity for skill development and application.
    Key Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Compile and manage an extensive database containing all tender documents and associated information. Establish and update pricing/estimating databases while documenting the Cost of Non-Performance and Lessons Learned. Work closely with the APAC tendering team to foster ongoing enhancements in process development, integrating the latest customer requirements and insights.
    Tender Review: Support the country in the pipeline review process and standards, ensuring the pipeline pool is consistently updated. Take charge of the local tender team to assess and analyze tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), or requests for quotations (RFQs) to comprehend project requirements.
    Technical Proposal Development: Take ownership of assigned projects and oversee the commercial aspects, including subcontracts, to ensure the preparation of the most fitting proposal based on the bidding strategy. Facilitate key progress meetings such as Tender Kick Off, Progress Review, Risk Review, Clarifications, Tender Approval, and Project Handover. Collaborate with technical experts to craft a compelling technical proposal aligned with project specifications. Verify that the technical proposal comprehensively addresses all technical requirements.Liaise with project management and technical teams to gather the necessary information for tender submission. Work in coordination with the Engineering and supply chain teams to identify and secure the most optimized solutions.
    Tender Submission and Follow-Up: Prepare and submit tenders within the designated deadlines. Monitor and track the status of submitted tenders, addressing any inquiries or clarifications from the client or tendering authority.
    Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors and assess their submissions. Seek proposals from vendors and subcontractors, then assess the received proposals.Develop cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors necessary for the project. Assess potential project risks and contingencies that could influence the cost estimate.
    Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to tendering, bidding, engineering, technical design, or equivalent. Possess technical knowledge in M&E systems for effective follow-up on M&E work. Previous experience in industry segments such as Industrial, Data Center, Renewables, Power Transmission & Distribution, Buildings, etc., would be beneficial. Solid technical understanding of High, Medium, or Low Voltage products/switchgears and solutions from similar competitors. Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role involves regular interaction with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in the regionFamiliarity with tendering software and tools such as WPS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. The role demands a high degree of adaptability and professionalism.   • Regional Marketing Communications Specialist

    Key PurposeTo expand customer reach and strengthen regional marketing and communications strategies that drive business growth, you will collaborate closely with both local and regional Marketing Communications Teams on planning and execution. Together, you will design purposeful initiatives to build brand recognition and loyalty, while coordinating with marketing colleagues across the region.
    This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain regional market exposure and further develop skills in brand development, content creation, event planning, partner programs, digital marketing, and media relations.
    The position is full-time and based at our Singapore headquarters.
    Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop marketing and promotional materials, tools to aid business growth, elevate brand image and brand loyalty.Drive the digitalization strategies; social media; campaigns for various activities; initiatives; sales channel/retail promotions to increase demand generation.Event/trade show planning and execution while leading the design and production for all deliverable elements together with the team.Create content strategies in conjunction with the Product and Engineering Teams.Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalization of messages and measurability, data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation.Be involved in the management of the websites to optimize performance, ensure information is updated, maximize user experience.Manage the Marketing & Communications budget and ensure related programme milestones are achieved on time and within budget.Act as the support to the Marketing Team and continuously develop skills and expertise in the field.
    RequirementsMinimum 2-3 years of experience in area of marketing and communications, or equivalent.Have an excellent understanding of how to use marketing tools and techniques to increase the visibility, profile and reputation of an organisation.The position requires a high degree of adaptability, independence and professionalism.Excellent communication skills, excel in understanding and engaging with different stakeholders.Exposure to copy writing, editing, speaking, and presentation, with some familiarity in planning and budget management.Possess a keen eye for design and detail, ability to balance creativity with visual consistency.   • Mechanical Design Engineer (LV switchboards)

    Job Purpose:The Mechanical Design R&D Engineer is responsible for leading front-end development activities for low voltage switchboards within the APAC region. This role focuses on understanding customer applications in targeted segments, identifying pain points, and translating field insights into clear product requirements and solution concepts. In addition to front-end engagement, the R&D Engineer manages and executes local R&D projects to deliver end-to-end technical solutions that support business growth and meet regional needs. The position works closely with the regional Sales teams, the switchboard factories and HQ R&D teams to drive product innovation, evaluate new technologies, and ensure that locally developed solutions align with CHINT’s global standards and strategic direction.
    Major responsibilities: R&D:-- Drive product innovation initiatives to enhance performance, improve production efficiency, and optimize overall product costs.-- Lead or participate in regional R&D and solution development projects to deliver end-to-end customer-oriented solutions tailored for the APAC market.-- Collaborate with HQ R&D by providing systematic feedback, detailed technical assessments, and comprehensive failure analysis to support continuous product improvement.-- Conduct field studies to observe market trends, monitor competitive offerings, and gather actionable insights that guide product development strategies and local R&D project decisions.Projects/Production Execution:-- Develop and optimize mechanical designs for LV switchboards using 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO), driving material efficiency, standardization, and ease of manufacturing.-- Ensure fully compliant designs in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., IEC 61439, UL 891) and internal engineering requirements.-- Perform design verification through testing and engineering calculations to ensure a high level of product quality, reliability, and conformance.-- Specify, select, and integrate key mechanical components, including enclosures, busbar systems, hinges, and fastening solutions, to achieve robust and practical designs.-- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), detailed engineering drawings, and technical documentation to support design and production.-- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to ensure seamless mechanical–electrical integration and overall system performance.-- Support production and assembly teams by resolving technical issues and driving design-for-manufacturability (DFM) improvements.-- Engage with suppliers and procurement teams to source and qualify suitable materials and components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.-- Lead and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure robust product performance across the lifecycle.
