  • Key Purpose:To drive CHINT’s market presence within the medium voltage (MV) and electrical distribution domain. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and managing the end-to-end tendering process for transformers, switchgear, and integrated solutions. This role is designed for a technically-grounded individual with an Electrical Engineering background who is eager to master both the commercial and technical aspects of large-scale electrical projects.
    You will have a great opportunity to utilize your existing industry networks and contribute your skillsets in business development, strategic thinking, and sales.
    The roll is s full time position based our Singapore APAC headquarters office.
    Key Responsibilities:Tendering & Proposal Management: Lead the preparation of technical and commercial bids for MV switchgear and transformer projects. This includes reviewing tender specifications, performing equipment sizing, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.Sales Execution: Implement effective sales strategies to promote CHINT’s portfolio, including E-houses and package substations, to achieve revenue growth.Technical Solutioning: Act as the technical point of contact for contractors and EPCs, providing tailored engineering solutions that meet project-specific needs.Costing & Estimation: Collaborate with the factory and headquarters to obtain competitive pricing, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and manage the "Value Engineering" process to win bids.Client Engagement: Identify and prospect potential clients in key sectors like datacenters, renewables, utilities, and infrastructure, building a robust sales pipeline.Project Handover: Ensure a seamless transition of won tenders to the Project Management team, providing all necessary technical documentation and commercial clarity.
    Requirements:Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a must.Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the electrical industry. We welcome candidates from site, design, or testing backgrounds who wish to pivot into a commercial role.Tendering Capability (A Plus): Prior exposure to or a strong interest in the tendering process, including experience with BQs (Bills of Quantities), SLD (Single Line Diagram) interpretation, and technical compliance tables.Aptitude: High degree of adaptability and a strong willingness to learn the complexities of power distribution equipmentCommunication: Professional writing and presentation skills are essential for drafting winning proposals and conducting client demonstrations.Attributes: Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing complex technical specifications and customer requirements.   • Project Management Engineer

    Key PurposeYou will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for electrical engineering related works, ensuring that they are aligned with the project’s design, specifications, and requirements. Additionally, you will support the project management team to align with the project schedule and planning during the project implementation.

    Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize or support the project kick-off meeting at the beginning of each project implementation and clarify the project requirements to all partiesParticipate in engineering activities during project execution, such as scope of work, datasheet compliance, minimum functional specification, attend site queries and site installation issues that related to design, testing and commissioningProficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and technical documentationReview and communicate detailed design documents submitted by factories and ensure compliance with the standards, customer requirements, company& industry best practicesSupport the project management team for the overall management of the drawing confirmation, approval, progress tracking, installation and commissioning, acceptance, of international trade projects from contract signing to product delivery and operationRepresent CHINT during client project meetings relating to technical discussions and other related project execution mattersResponsible for summarizing and analyzing the common problems or major problems existing in the product delivery process, regularly organizing project communication meetings, and feeding back and tracking the handling results to the relevant departments responsible

  • Tendering Engineer  

    - Kallang

    Key Purpose Joining a team dedicated to achieving project success, your role involves preparing commercial and technical proposals for High/Medium/Low Voltage switchgear/containerized solutions and EPC in key segments. Collaborating with sales and marketing professionals locally, in various APAC countries, and at the corporate headquarters, you'll have the chance to contribute and enhance your skills and knowledge in technical solutions, tender preparation and strategy, project planning, and negotiations. This full-time position is based at Singapore office, offering an excellent opportunity for skill development and application.
    Key Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Compile and manage an extensive database containing all tender documents and associated information. Establish and update pricing/estimating databases while documenting the Cost of Non-Performance and Lessons Learned. Work closely with the APAC tendering team to foster ongoing enhancements in process development, integrating the latest customer requirements and insights.
    Tender Review: Support the country in the pipeline review process and standards, ensuring the pipeline pool is consistently updated. Take charge of the local tender team to assess and analyze tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), or requests for quotations (RFQs) to comprehend project requirements.
    Technical Proposal Development: Take ownership of assigned projects and oversee the commercial aspects, including subcontracts, to ensure the preparation of the most fitting proposal based on the bidding strategy. Facilitate key progress meetings such as Tender Kick Off, Progress Review, Risk Review, Clarifications, Tender Approval, and Project Handover. Collaborate with technical experts to craft a compelling technical proposal aligned with project specifications. Verify that the technical proposal comprehensively addresses all technical requirements.Liaise with project management and technical teams to gather the necessary information for tender submission. Work in coordination with the Engineering and supply chain teams to identify and secure the most optimized solutions.
    Tender Submission and Follow-Up: Prepare and submit tenders within the designated deadlines. Monitor and track the status of submitted tenders, addressing any inquiries or clarifications from the client or tendering authority.
    Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors and assess their submissions. Seek proposals from vendors and subcontractors, then assess the received proposals.Develop cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors necessary for the project. Assess potential project risks and contingencies that could influence the cost estimate.
    Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to tendering, bidding, engineering, technical design, or equivalent. Possess technical knowledge in M&E systems for effective follow-up on M&E work. Previous experience in industry segments such as Industrial, Data Center, Renewables, Power Transmission & Distribution, Buildings, etc., would be beneficial. Solid technical understanding of High, Medium, or Low Voltage products/switchgears and solutions from similar competitors. Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role involves regular interaction with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in the regionFamiliarity with tendering software and tools such as WPS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. The role demands a high degree of adaptability and professionalism. Demonstrated strong passion for delivering results with keen attention to detail.
