YOUR ROLE

YOUR ROLEAt CEVA Lead Logistics (CLL), we are providing customers with outstanding Visibility and Control across their entire Supply Chain. Our operations teams located across the globe in our Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost.
Based in one of CLL’s regional Control Towers and reporting to the CLL Control Tower Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, this role oversees daily operations within the control tower to ensure on time delivery and timely follow ups with suppliers and other stakeholders. This includes shipment booking, event (milestone) management, as well as timely escalation of issues.
This role ensures operational services are executed in an effective and efficient manner across several transport service providers and different modes of transport, while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting performance and cost targets.

YOUR ROLEThe incumbent will be part of a larger team within the Air and Ocean department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:Answer all incoming calls promptly and politelyRespond to customer enquiries promptlyBasic knowledge on cargo commodity as per IATA rules and regulationsHandle all air export shipment interface with multiple parties (internal and external customer/stakeholders) on shipment requirementsBooking of flights with procurement teamCheck on AWB/HAWB and all other necessary shipping documents and feedback to customer and overseas agent if any discrepancy/non-compliance issueEnsure all data are updated correctly in systemLiaise with overseas agents on various requirements and ratesObtain rate approval from customer before shipment departsProvide flight details and feedback to customer on freight status timelyTo ensure AED compliance and job file closures within KPIMonitor shipment uplift and transit to ensure timely arrival/delivery to consignee, as well as updating shipment delays to shipper and destination stations whenever occursGood understanding of customer’s SOP and shipment handling requirement by ensuring compliance prior to shipping, with customer satisfactionMonitor progress to achieve month end targets / annual objectives and KPISupporting others on shipment execution when necessaryProvide airfreight quotations upon applicationTake charge of Supplier’s invoice disputesTimely escalation of issues / concerns that requires broader attention and resolutionTake on all other ad-hoc tasks delegated by Supervisor/Manager
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels1-2 years customer service-related experience. Experience in freight-forwarding(airfreight) is advantageousAble to work over-time when requiredGood written and spoken EnglishPossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
