Job Summary:As the Commercial Operations Manager, you will act as the "commercial quarterback" for our highest-stakes opportunities in SEA/NA/ANZ. You will own and optimize the end-to-end bid/tender management process, partnering directly with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Legal, Credit, Accounting, Quality and Pricing.
Your primary mission is to maximize win rates, protect project margins, mitigate commercial risk, and ensure that Belden delivers world-class, compliant RFP responses for complex solution projects.
You will make an impact in the following way:Bid & RFP Project Management:End-to-End Execution: Serve as the central Project Manager for all strategic RFP/tender responses. Drive the process from initial receipt and Go/No-Go qualification through cross-functional development, final submission, and post-bid debriefs.Cross-Functional Alignment: Orchestrate inputs from Sales, Operations, Logistics, Legal, Credit, Accounting, Quality, and Pricing to ensure deliverables are timely, highly competitive, and technically accurate.
Deal Desk & Commercial Governance:Deal Structuring & Pricing: Lead deal desk operations for the region. Validate target pricing submitted by Sales, and collaborate with Pricing Leadership to finalize bidding strategies that are both highly competitive and profitable.Contract Management: Review, redline, and draft commercial agreements (Sales/Service Agreements, NDAs, SOWs) in close partnership with Legal.Risk Mitigation: Ensure all bids and contracts comply with Belden’s revenue recognition policies, Legal Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (LGRC) standards, and regional business guidelines.
Process Excellence & Sales Enablement:Continuous Improvement: Design and enforce a highly efficient operating rhythm for the Deal Desk. Conduct rigorous win/loss analyses to capture market intelligence and integrate lessons learned into future bids.System Optimization: Champion the use of Salesforce.com and other sales enablement tools. Document and refine commercial processes to remove friction and boost sales productivity.Knowledge Management: Maintain a centralized, audit-ready repository for all bid, proposal, and legal documentation.
What you will bring:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Law (JD or MBA is a strong advantage).Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in deal desk management, bid/tender management, or commercial operations within a multinational, matrixed organization (Technology, Industrial Networking, or Manufacturing sectors preferred).Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of managing complex RFPs, navigating contract negotiations, redlining commercial terms, and protecting margins on solution-based sales.Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, pivot tables) and proficiency in Word/PowerPoint. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com. Knowledge of working with emerging AI tools.Sales Methodology: Familiarity with value-based selling and the MEDDIC sales methodology is highly advantageous.Working Style: Proactive, pragmatic, and highly organized. You must possess a strong bias for action, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.
