Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to support the technical operations and service delivery of our solutions portfolio. This role is focused on post-sales technical support, system preparation, configuration, testing, commissioning support, troubleshooting services to our SI partners.
The Technical Operations Engineer is not a primary installation role. Instead, the position focuses on providing technical expertise, backend engineering support, and service execution to ensure our system integrator (SI) partners can successfully deploy and support the solutions purchased from Advanced InfoComm.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations Support
· Provide technical support for solutions distributed by Advanced InfoComm, including security and network infrastructure products.· Perform system staging, pre-configuration, setup, firmware upgrades, and solution preparation before delivery to SI partners.· Conduct bench testing, proof-of-concept setup, factory acceptance testing, training and technical validation of systems.· Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, networking, and integration-related issues raised by SI partners.· Assist in diagnosing issues involving IP networking, VLAN, switching, routing basics, PoE, fiber connectivity, and system interoperability.· Support onsite or remote technical activities.· Work closely with SI partners to ensure services are delivered professionally, within scope, and according to agreed standards.· Document work performed under professional services assignments and provide service reports where necessary.· Project and Service Coordination· Coordinate with internal sales, presales, vendors, and SI partners for technical scheduling, service preparation, and issue resolution.· Support technical handover from presales to operations for awarded projects or service engagements.· Ensure project/service activities are tracked properly and key technical milestones are met.· Escalate complex technical issues to principals or manufacturers when required.· Training to System Integrators to enable them.· Documentation and Quality· Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as configuration records, test reports, service reports, method statements, and technical notes.· Assist in developing standard operating procedures, technical checklists, and service templates for operational consistency.· Ensure work is performed in accordance with company quality standards and documented processes.
Product and Technical Knowledge
· Maintain strong working knowledge of the company’s solution portfolio, including CCTV, access control, key management, networking, GPON, and related integrated systems where applicable.· Attend principal/vendor training and obtain relevant certifications as required.· Keep up to date with new product features, firmware releases, and technical service procedures.
Scope of Role
This role is intended to support distributor technical operations and paid professional services. The Operations Engineer will work alongside SI partners and principals, but will generally not be responsible for full turnkey installation works performed by the SI.

Qualifications· Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics, IT, Networking, Security Systems, or related discipline.
· Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in security systems, networking, systems integration, or technical support environment.
· Experience in distributor, vendor, SI, or technical service environments will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
· Good understanding of IP-based systems and networking fundamentals.· Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:· CCTV / VMS· Access control systems· Electronic key management systems· GPON / fiber networking· Layer 2 / Layer 3 switching· System integration and interoperability· Familiarity with system configuration, firmware upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.· Able to read network diagrams, technical drawings, and system architecture layouts.
Soft Skills
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.· Good communication skills and ability to work with SI partners and principals professionally.· Organised, responsible, and able to manage multiple technical tasks.· Able to prepare clear technical documentation and service reports.· Willing to travel for onsite support when required.
